about

Work and education have taken me in a number of directions, but art remains constant. I primarily draw, print, and paint, but also write, as well as collaborate on performances and installations. Responding to the escalating climate crisis, my work addresses the complex sensual capacities that human bodies share with other animals, trees, plants, and broader ecosystems. So far, my work has been shown in West Virginia, where I grew up, as well as Italy, Germany, Pennsylvania, and Northern and Southern California. I have a BFA in painting and printmaking, and a PhD in Ethnic Studies and Critical Theory. I live and work in Berkeley, CA.
